Lush seaside grounds, thoughtfully modernized historic buildings, and the surrounding nature make Calliola a small world of its own for your wedding celebration. At Calliola, your wedding can be an entire weekend with the people you love, instead of a single evening. On Friday, we prepare the spaces and welcome the first guests. On Saturday, family and friends fill the grounds. After the ceremony, everyone gathers in the atmospheric IdeaCallio for dinner, laughter, and celebration. Venevaja can host both the ceremony and the afterparty. On Sunday morning, everyone comes together again for breakfast before heading home.
Calliola is located on the island of Rågö in Snappertuna, surrounded by beautiful archipelago scenery. It is easy to reach by car or chartered coach, crossing the bridge and following a paved road that leads all the way to the grounds. By boat, Calliola is 10 minutes from Barösund, Inkoo. Imagine arriving at your wedding venue in a vintage car, sailboat, or even seaplane, touching down in the bay. At Calliola, even the most unusual dreams and magical moments come to life.

IdeaCallio for larger celebrations
The upper floor of the main building is the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding of up to 130 guests. A beautiful footbridge welcomes guests into the spacious, light-filled venue.

Boathouse, our seaside venue
Venevaja is a wonderful setting for smaller wedding celebrations, especially in the evening when candles are lit and a fire glows in the fireplace. The venue opens directly onto a terrace built over the sea, where guests can step outside and take in the view.
Venevaja is also a popular private afterparty venue, with space to play music, dance, and serve a late-night snack. For afterparties, the venue is booked separately and subject to a minimum spend, fulfilled through drinks purchased at the Venevaja bar.
The wedding ceremony
You can hold your ceremony by the sea or inside one of Calliola’s buildings. During summer, Villa Calliola’s 200-year-old oak trees, the lush shoreline, long wooden piers, and Venevaja’s terrace all make beautiful ceremony spots. If the weather changes, Venevaja’s modern interior is just as inviting.
Several beautiful historic ceremony venues are also near Snappertuna. Within a 15–35-minute drive are Snappertuna’s 17th-century wooden church, the 15th-century stone churches of Karjaa and Inkoo, and Tammisaari’s magnificent 17th-century stone church.
Food & Drink
Great food is an key aspect of any wedding, and at Calliola, we deeply appreciate local ingredients. We support organic farming and local producers. Our chefs prepare every dish from scratch in our own kitchen, using ingredients mainly from the Raseborg area.
Our wedding menus offer a thoughtful starting point for planning your celebration and can be tailored to the couple’s wishes, the season, and any dietary requirements.

The Villa Saaristo suite, near the shore, is one of Calliola’s most special places for your wedding night. Celebrate your first morning as a married couple with champagne on your own private sandy beach or wooden pier.
